What you pay

Registered agent service in New York: $99/year. It renews automatically each year at $99 unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account.

State fees are shown separately from our fee. We collect them with your order and pay them to the state at cost when we file.

Outside the plan

• A virtual mailbox or mail forwarding. Everyday business mail is charged per piece to view, legal letters beyond the 3 a year are charged per piece, junk mail is discarded and packages are refused.
• Filing your annual report. That is a separate service with its own fee plus the state's fee.
• State filing fees of any kind.
• Forming the company, or any amendment or reinstatement filing.

What you get

The plan covers the following.

Dependable agent for service of process service throughout New York — $99 annually. That fee covers the office address, scanning of legal correspondence, and reminders for state filings.

A note on mail and privacy: every legal notice and New York state letter is received here on your behalf, and listing our address keeps your personal one off public filings. We are built for legal mail, not everyday post. Same-day scanning of legal documents is included, non-legal items run $15 per scan on request, and postage applies only when you want the physical original shipped.

Every New York LLC has the Secretary of State as its agent for service of process. Not by choice, by statute. Nothing you file removes it. New York materials tend to say agent for service of process for this role, and it is the reason the state never asks for a registered office the way other states do.

Our policies

Registered agent service renews automatically for another year on each renewal date, unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account, or give written notice at least 30 days before the renewal date. Renewal reminders go out about 60 days ahead.

You can cancel at any time from your online account or by contacting support. Cancelling does not by itself remove us as registered agent on the state record; a change of registered agent or resignation filing does that.

Anything already filed with the government is not refundable. Registered agent fees are not refundable once we or our partner have been appointed with the state. State fees are not refundable once paid to the state.
